The Deep River Public Library will welcome chess enthusiasts of all ages for a Deep River Chess Tournament on Friday, May 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The tournament builds on the library’s ongoing chess workshops, giving participants the opportunity to put their skills into action through competitive play. Open to kids, teens, and adults, the event is designed for players who already have prior chess experience and are ready to test their strategies in a friendly but challenging environment.
Registration is required in advance. Participants can sign up by using the QR code featured on the event flyer or by visiting the library’s online calendar at deepriverlibrary.libcal.com.
The Deep River Chess Tournament reflects the library’s commitment to offering engaging programs that promote critical thinking, lifelong learning, and community connection. Chess players from across the area are encouraged to register early and join in for a morning of thoughtful competition and fun.
