The ASAP! is calling on young writers across the region to share their voices as part of its 21st Annual Celebration of Young Writers, a juried writing event that highlights student creativity and storytelling.
Open to students in grades K–12, the competition encourages public, private, and homeschooled students to submit an original piece of writing. Submissions are free, and entries must be received by March 22.
Selected works will be recognized in multiple ways, including publication and live readings during ASAP! Celebrates Courage, scheduled for May 30, 2026. The annual event provides young authors with a unique opportunity to see their work honored on stage and shared with a wider audience.
ASAP!’s Celebration of Young Writers has become a longstanding tradition, now in its 21st year, celebrating student expression while fostering confidence, creativity, and a love of writing.
Students and families can find last year’s featured entries, review submission guidelines, and submit their work by visiting asapct.org.
Young writers with stories to tell are encouraged to participate and take part in a meaningful celebration of imagination, courage, and youth voices.
