Community Vote on the Name of the Newly Renovated Middlefield School

Posted Date: 04/02/26 (10:32 AM)

A blackboard displays 'Name Our School' with a school building and children riding a pencil. As renovation work continues on the school in Middlefield, we are excited to invite our community to participate in an important decision - selecting the name for the newly renovated building.
Three potential names have been identified, and we are seeking input from students, staff, and residents before a final decision is made.

How voting will work
- Students and Staff: each school will hold a vote for its students and staff during the day the week of March 16h.
- Residents: Middlefield and Durham residents may cast their vote at their respective Town Hall during regular business hours starting Monday March 16th and ending Thursday March 19th.  Please visit the Town Clerk to obtain a ballot and place it in the ballot box.

The results of these votes will be shared at an upcoming Board of Education meeting.

This is a great opportunity for our entire community to take part in shaping the identity of this renovated school building.  We encourage everyone to participate.

Please see the attached flyer with the name options.  Thank you for helping us celebrate this exciting step forward for our schools and community.
